We salute Robert W Roth - Robert "Bob" Roth enlisted in the USAF in September 1987 and retired in 2007. He was a C5 loadmaster flying numerous missions to include EOF/ OIF missions. Bob has been a volunteer firefighter and EMT with Frederica volunteer fire company since 2008. He has held positions of Fire Captain, Assistant Chief, Board member, Vice president, and training officer. He is a volunteer with the National Desert Storm War Memorial representing the State of Delaware. He has dedicated his life to helping others.
We salute Alex Vazquez - Alex is a past chief of the Frederica Fire Co. with 20 plus years in the fire service, currently Asst. Chief. Alex has held many positions with the fire co. Currently, a board of directors with the Frederica fire co. and president of the Kent county fire chiefs association. Alex has influenced many in and out of the fire service, willing to help anyone at any time.
On 01/19/2021 at approximately 11:10 hours Kent County Paramedics, Frederica Volunteer Fire Company and Delaware State Police Aviation Section were dispatched to a female subject thrown from a horse. On arrival crews found one patient in stable condition. The patient was assessed and treated by Kent County Medics and flown on Trooper 2 to a level I trauma center for further care.
On Decembe 19th Frederica Volunteer Fire Company helped to organize and place wreaths on the graves of Veterans, Firefighters, Police Officers, and Auxiliary Members.
