Assist Magnolia Station 55

At 0004 Frederica along with Little Creek (54) were alerted to assist Magnolia (55) with a working structure fire. Crews arrived to find an RV and a portion of a two story home involved. 49-1, Tanker, Ladder and Rescue 49 responded. Frederica crews assisted with fire suppression on the second floor. Once command went under control crews assisted with overhaul and getting all apparatus back in service.

Stand by at DOVER AFB Air Show

This weekend Frederica along with numerous other volunteer Fire and EMS personnel and apparatus assisted Dover AFB FD with Air Show. Rescue 49 and crew stood by protecting the USAF Thunder Birds and other show air craft. Ranger 49 and crew assisted with EMS at main entry point. Thousands of people attended this event with no major incidents.

MVC into the woods

At 1550 Crews were alerted to a vehicle into woods/ marsh. Vehicle was found well into the woods/ marsh off Frederica rd. Driver was extricated and transported to a local hospital. Crews cleared and scene was turned over to DSP.

Residential Fire Alarm

At 0144 Frederica was alerted to a Residential fire alarm. 49-1, Tanker and Ladder 49 responded. Command had crews investagate the alarm sounding with no findings. Command was terminated and all crews returned safely.

MVC w/ Injuries

At 0607 Crews were alerted to an MVC on Bay road south of the twin bridges. Rescue 49, A49 and 49-2 arrived to find a minivan off the road into the woods. One Patient was transported to local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Crews cleaned the road off and secured the vehicle. Scene was turned over to DSP and crew returned to station.

MVC w/ Rollover

At 0412 Station 49 was alerted to a serious MVC w/ rollover on Barratts Cahpel rd. Command went on scene with a SUV on its side, a pole sheared and wires accross the entire road way. One patient was out of the vehicle with non-life threatening injuries. Patient was transported to local hospital with medic. Crews remained on scene until power company crews arrived. All units returned and scene was turned over to DPS.

Multiple MVC's on Bay Road

At 2217 Frederica was alerted to a MVC vehicle off the road into woods. Crews arrived to find a car off Bay road with a single patient not alert. DSP secured the vehicle and Rescue 49 provided lighting of the scene. Patient was transported to local hospital with medics. While securing the scene, a second MVC occurred 1/2 mile north of first call. Crews arrived to find a small vehicle rear-ended by a large farm vehicle. 4 patients with minor injuries were transported to local hospital by ambulances from stations 49, 42 and 40. Crews cleared and turned scene over to DSP.

Camp Lenape Campers Visit the Station

Camp Lenape campers came to visit the station and then some of the trucks were taken out to the camp grounds.

MVC with Rollover

A busy 24 hours for the Frederica Vol. Fire Co. Starting yesterday morning at 0619, the Co. Was dispatched to an MVC on Bay Road. Crews found a drywall truck vs car and transported 1 to the hospital. At 1100 crews were called with the Brush Truck to a small outside fire in the area of 12 and Andrews Lake Rd. Finally this morning at 0313 crews responded to a MVC rollover on Bay Road with multiple patients being transported by Frederica, Milford and Magnolia.

MVC w/ Injuries

At 0619 station 49 was alerted to an MVC on Bay just south of Bowers Beach rd. Crew found a Large delivery truck vs Small car, with 1 PT with minor injuries. PT was tansported to local hospital, crew cleared and scene was turned over to DSP.

MVC - Bay Road

Crews are on scene with an MVC rollover on Bay Road, South Bound Lane.

MVC - Blue Jay Lane

Crews were dispatched to the area of Blue Jay Lane and State Route 15 for a MVC around 1840.

Junior Fire Camp Visit

DSFS Junior Fire Camp came in today. After their ride on the boats, campers enjoyed pizza and fries while visiting the Frederica Volunteer Fire Department, who allowed us to use their hall. Thanks again to the Citizen's Hose Auxiliary for making the food arrangements.
